Is Vietnam Airport Fast Track Worth It? Who It Suits, Prices and How to Book
With fast track, a staff member meets you at a designated spot holding a sign and takes you through the priority immigration lane included in your plan, so you spend less time finding signs and picking the wrong queue.
It doesn't include a visa or the entry card, and departure plans don't include airline check-in or baggage drop either.

Is Vietnam airport fast track worth it?
There's no single answer. It helps to look at your flight time, who you're traveling with and how tight your plans are after you arrive in or leave Vietnam.
What fast track saves you is the time spent finding your way and standing in line. The visa, the entry card and, for departures, airline check-in and baggage drop still need to be sorted out yourself.
Who is fast track for?
The Lanytrip product pages for Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang list who the service suits. We've grouped them into the situations below so you can see which sounds like you:
- Avoiding peak-season queues:If your plans have some flexibility but you'd rather not spend your time in line, Standard fast track is a good place to start.
- Traveling with children or older relatives:If you'd like the whole family to wait less and keep things simple on the ground, fast track makes the airport noticeably easier.
- A tight schedule:If you have a close connection or onward plans and want to cut the time spent queuing on arrival or departure.
- Business trips:If your time is mostly for work and meetings.
- Peak departure times:If you'd like to skip both the customs and security queues in one go: at Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Super fast track for departures also includes fast security screening.
When might you skip it?
If your plans are flexible and you have nowhere to be right after you land or leave Vietnam, you don't necessarily need fast track. Queuing as usual is also a perfectly fine choice.

All three airports offer Standard fast track for both arrival and departure. Super plans are open in different directions, and Hanoi also has a Super VIP plan for arrival only.

Prices are per person, so enter the number of people actually using the service. Children aged 2 and over pay the same as adults; children under 2 are free but must be accompanied by 1 paying adult.

Standard, Super or Super VIP: which to choose?
The agent's greeting and guidance are the same across all three. The difference is the priority level of the lane and which checkpoints are covered.

- At checkout, write your service date, flight number, passport name in English and contact details in the order notes. The passport name should match your passport spelling exactly; if you're traveling with others, list everyone.
- Complete payment and the system sends you an order confirmation email.
- Before 9:00 pm the evening before you travel, our Chinese-language support in Vietnam sends the meeting point, time and notes through the messaging app you gave us.
Service hours, meeting point and cancellation
- Service hours:08:00–24:00. Flights arriving or departing between 00:00 and 08:00 aren't covered.

- Cancellations and changes:Once an order is placed, it can't be cancelled, refunded or changed.
If the service can't be used for reasons outside our company's control (for example, you don't meet your agent or the details were entered incorrectly), no refund is available. If your plans change, please contact support first.
Vietnam airport fast track FAQ
Not necessarily. It mostly depends on your flight time, who you're traveling with and how tight your plans are after you land. It makes the most difference if you want to avoid peak-season queues, are traveling with children or older relatives, or have a packed schedule; if your plans are flexible, you can also queue as usual.
Arrival and departure are separate services. Choose “Arrival” or “Departure” when you order, and buying only one direction is fine if that's all you need.
Fast track doesn't include a visa, so that needs to be sorted separately. If your visa is ready, you can buy fast track straight away; if not, you can also add Lanytrip's Vietnam e-visa service.
Lanytrip fast track needs to be booked in advance. When you order, we ask for your service date, flight number and passport name in English, and our Chinese-language WhatsApp support in Vietnam sends the meeting point, time and notes before 9:00 pm the evening before you travel, so it's best to book before you leave.
It's priced per person, so enter the number of people actually using the service. It depends on the airport. Hanoi and Da Nang both have Super plans for arrival; Ho Chi Minh City's Super fast track is for departure only, so choose Standard for arrival there.
Unfortunately, flights arriving or departing between 00:00 and 08:00 aren't covered, so it's a good idea to check your flight time before you order.
A small delay doesn't need any action, as the service follows your flight's status. If you switch to another flight or change your date, please contact support as soon as possible.

Once an order is placed, it can't be cancelled, refunded or changed. If your flight is cancelled or changed (for example, because of a typhoon), contact support and send the airline's announcement plus a screenshot showing your passport name and flight number, and our team will help assess it.
