Three of the five days include a Mandarin-speaking guide (Days 2, 4 and 5). The Day 1 jeep tour and the Day 3 Ha Long Bay cruise have no Mandarin-speaking guide, and the cruise is guided in English by the operator. Vehicle use or guiding beyond the hours listed above is charged separately.

Tickets, passes, visas and fast-track services cannot be cancelled, refunded or rescheduled once purchased. Cancellation fees are calculated on the tour price after deducting administrative fees already paid out.

Bespoke Trendy Hotel Hanoi for 3 nights (Days 1, 2 and 4) and Wyndham Garden Legend Halong for 1 night (Day 3), both twin share.

You stay overnight in Ha Long Bay between Day 3 and Day 4, with your luggage travelling in the vehicle so nothing needs storing. Hotel breakfast is not included in the package.

No — the Day 5 Ao Dai photo session is a paid extra, and you choose and pay for the rental and shooting package you like.

Your Mandarin-speaking guide helps arrange it on the spot (Linh Chi's Ao Dai Rental is a good option). If you would rather skip it, that time is simply free.

This package is priced per traveller; the price shown on this page starts at NT$29,000 per person.

The larger your group, the lower the per-person price; the final amount is confirmed by group size, departure date and peak-holiday dates.

This package runs with two or more travellers, and each group departs on its own.

Day 1 is the army jeep experience, and Day 3 is the Ambassador cruise, guided by the operator in English, so those two days have no Mandarin-speaking guide.

Yes, within the booked vehicle hours and service area. On a private tour you can change the order of stops and how long you spend at each — just tell us when you book.

Going beyond the day's vehicle hours or service area is charged separately; the Ha Long Bay cruise and the cave dinner are fixed and cannot be changed. The hotels are fixed partner properties — please check with us first if you would like to change them.

The land days use a private vehicle throughout, never shared with other travellers, so the pace and rest stops can be adjusted to suit you.

Child safety seatsare NT$300 each per day; please tell us the children's ages and how many seats you need when booking.

Please note: Day 2 is a long day, leaving at 07:00 and back at the hotel at 21:30, and the Day 1 jeep tour and the Day 3 cruise and cave dinner all involve getting in and out of vehicles and boats. If you are travelling with young children or older travellers with limited mobility, please let us know when booking.
